Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette is serious about achieving one of his goals for his upcoming sophomore NFL season.

So serious, that the 23-year-old New Orleans-native has placed a reminder onto his on-field gear.

According to reports, Fournette has taped and sealed a $100 bill to the back of his pads as a reminder to achieve his goal of running 100 yards a game. When asked by Minneapolis Fox 9 sports reporter, Pierre Noujaim what was the meaning behind the $100 bill and pads, Fournette responded, “100 yards a game and I’m 100 percent real.”

Last year Fournette rushed for an average of 80 yards per game during his rookie season. In retrospect, Fournette says his debut season also sparked his benevolence for the youth of New Orleans.

“When I look back at last season, I feel nothing but love. Love for our fans, love for my teammates who battled every down, and love for every memory I made,” he wrote in a blog post on his website. “I decided to spread that same love this offseason. I held two camps in New Orleans – nearly 1,000 young kids showed up, many of which are experiencing the same hardships I faced growing up in our city.”

“Giving them an opportunity through football – the same outlet I had growing up – meant the world to me,” he said.
