Video has surfaced showing Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. in the middle of an altercation between two women at a Florida apartment complex.
According to TMZ, which obtained the surveillance footage from the complex, Fowler is seen standing between the two women as they argue. TMZ reports the women are the mother of his child and his girlfriend. In the video, Fowler steps back as the argument turns physical, and after a few moments of hair pulling and punches he steps in and pulls one woman off the other. TMZ says he then leaves with his girlfriend.
TMZ also reports that police were never called and no report was filed. It appears to be the first time the incident has come to light.
Fowler was the Jaguars’ first round pick in last year’s NFL draft, but he has yet to play a snap after tearing his ACL on the first day of rookie minicamp. Reports say Fowler has called the incident embarrassing and that the NFL is looking into the matter. We will keep you posted.
