Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston is reportedly under investigation for groping an Uber Driver last year.
According to reports, the Uber driver, who has been identified as Kate, told reporters that she picked up the baller on March 13, 2016, in Scottsdale, AZ. While he was sitting in the passenger seat, he reportedly grabbed her crotch.
In turn, the NFL released a statement, announcing their investigation into the incident. “We take these matters seriously and are fully supportive of the investigation that is being conducted by the NFL,” the statement read, adding that a letter was sent to the alleged victim, informing her about the investigation.

However, Winston has since denied the allegation, saying the “accusation is false.”

“Given the nature of the allegation and increased awareness and consideration of these types of matters, I am addressing this false report immediately,” he said in a statement. “At the time of the alleged incident, I denied the allegations to Uber, yet they still decided to suspend my account.”

“While I am certain that I did not make any inappropriate contact, I don’t want to engage in a battle with the driver and I regret if my demeanor or presence made her uncomfortable in any way.”
