Following her lawsuit against Florida State University Erica Kinsman, the woman who accused Jameis Winston of raping her in 2012, has officially filed a lawsuit against Winston himself. The lawsuit is reportedly in regards to accusations of sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment, and what Kinsman says was “intentional infliction of emotional distress arising out of forcible rape.”

Kinsman’s lawyer John Clune released a statement in regards to the lawsuit, which included the following: “Jameis Winston in contrast has proven time and time again to be an entitled athlete who believes he can take what he wants. He took something here that he was not entitled to and he hurt someone. There are consequences for that behavior and since others have refused to hold him accountable, our client will.”  Clune also stated that “With the support of her family, she is prepared for this fight and for the counterclaims and the smear campaigns that will surely follow.”

Winston was previously cleared of any criminal charges in 2013 and was later cleared of any school conduct wrong-doings following an investigation done by his former school Florida State University. More Details in regards to the lawsuit have yet to be made public, but more information is sure to come.
