Janet Jackson has postponed the next batch of dates on her Unbreakable tour, and the reasons behind the delay have fans talking.
In a message to fans posted on Christmas Eve, Janet said her doctors told her she needs surgery, so the 2016 dates would be pushed back until the spring. She asked her fans for their prayers. She did not say what kind of surgery she was facing, but her tone was hopeful that she would be back on the road in a few months.
Then the rumors started. RadarOnline reported on January 5 that Janet was being tested for a growth on her vocal cords, citing an unnamed source, and suggested the growth could be serious. Other outlets picked up the claim from there. None of it came from Janet or her team, and the report was never confirmed by her.
On January 6, Janet answered the chatter herself in a video posted to Twitter. “The rumors are untrue. I do not have cancer. I am recovering,” she said, and she thanked her fans for their love and prayers.
For now, Janet is focused on getting better and getting back to the stage. Prayers up for Janet, and we will keep you posted on her new tour dates.
Made to order and shipped to your door.
