A body was found at the New Jersey home of New York Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins, and his older brother, William, has been named a person of interest, according to TMZ.
TMZ reports that William was taken into custody in New York on an unrelated parole issue just hours before the body of Roosevelt, a family friend, was discovered. An Ontario County, New York district attorney told TMZ that William is “a person of interest in relation to dead body case at his brother’s house,” adding that Bergen County, New Jersey authorities want to speak with him.
According to TMZ, William will be transported to Bergen County as part of the extradition process so officials can talk with him. TMZ also reports that he has not been named a suspect at this point.
Janoris was reportedly not at the home when the body was discovered. Nobody connected to the case had publicly responded to the reports when this story was published, and an investigation is ongoing.
