JaVale McGee tried to treat his fans to free Chipotle, and only one person showed up.
The Denver Nuggets center took to Twitter with a pop up offer: the first 10 people to meet him at the Chipotle on 16th Street in Denver within five minutes would get a free meal. Five minutes is not a lot of notice, and just one fan made it in time.
McGee didn’t let it go. He gave it another shot, this time with an hour’s notice, and moved the giveaway next door to Noodles & Company.
It’s a fun look for JaVale, who has spent a lot of his career getting clowned for his on court blunders. Say what you want about his game, but he’s out here trying to feed the city.
Next time, Denver, keep your notifications on. Free burritos wait for no one.
