Jay-Z's Lawyer Files Motion to Dismiss Accuser's "Sham" Lawsuit Over Inconsistencies in Her Story

Shortly after NBC News acknowledged Jay-Z’s accuser had several inconsistencies in her story, his attorney filed to dismiss the case altogether.

“Today at 7:27 p.m. EST, NBC News reported on an interview that its reporters conducted with the anonymous plaintiff in this case.  The interview outs the plaintiff’s allegations for what they are: a sham. Basic facts in her narrative – the who, what, when and where – are wrong,” the Friday night filing by lawyer Alex Spiro read.

Spiro also pointed out that the victim’s father claims he did not pick her up at a gas station following the New York City attack, a key point in her story.  The woman claims that at just 13, she was escorted to a 2000 MTV Video Music Awards after-party, where Jay and Diddy raped her. She initially filed her suit in October to include only Diddy but later refiled to add the Roc Nation founder.

The accuser stated, “I have made some mistakes. I may have made some mistakes in identifying.” Shortly after the interview aired, NBC also pointed out the holes in the story. Jay has maintained his innocence and has vowed to clear his name.

This week, he also filed a motion to have the accuser reveal her true identity in order to move forward with the suit. As of now, that has not happened.
