Young Jeezy has turned himself in to Georgia authorities on charges connected to a September 2012 argument with his teenage son. The Atlanta rapper was booked on charges of terroristic threats, false imprisonment and battery, which stem from a grand jury warrant, and he was released on a $45,000 bond. A sheriff’s spokeswoman confirmed the surrender, and a representative for Jeezy declined to comment on the allegations. These are allegations only, and no one has been convicted of anything.
TMZ later reported that sources connected to Jeezy are disputing the claims. According to those sources, the two had a heated argument in September 2012 that never turned violent. They say it started when Jeezy told his son he did not want him staying at the house. Jeezy reportedly says he never hit, choked or dragged his son, though he admits he shoved him to the ground when the teen got in his face.
On the threat allegation, TMZ’s sources say Jeezy denies saying anything violent. They say he told his son something along the lines of a stern parent’s warning about who brought whom into this world. The sources also described the case as part of a larger family dispute, but they did not offer proof of that, and it remains their claim.
