Jenelle Evans and David Eason will likely face charges of neglect and assault in the case of Evan’s son, Jace 14.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ they expect to conclude their investigation very soon and had just interviewed Jace this past week.
Sources also say it appears charges of both neglect and assault will be filed but it hasn’t yet been determined whether both Jenelle and David will get hit with charges or if only one of them will face legal repercussions, TMZ reported.
Authorities probed Jace’s runaway situation as possible neglect after he ran away on three separate occasions in just one month.
Jace allegedly told officers that David assaulted him and he appeared to have visible marks on his neck and arm, which then, turned the investigation into something more serious. Reportedly, there is a video of the alleged assault that cops allegedly have in their possession.
David Eason is Jace’s stepfather. Jenelle regained custody of her son from her mother, Barbara, earlier this year. Barbara for years had custody of Jace after Jenelle was unable to properly care for him.
