Actress and singer Jennifer Lopez is opening up about her divorce from Hollywood A-lister Ben Affleck.
In a recent interview with British Vogue, she revealed she has “no regrets” about the split, focusing on her personal growth. Lopez shared her perspective on divorce, stressing that we shouldn’t carry shame or regret when relationships don’t work out.
“You kind of go, ‘That’s who I was at that time,’” she explained. “There were parts of my soul that needed to grow. And they did, in their own perfect timing.”
While J.Lo didn’t name specifics, she hinted that things weren’t perfect between them during the “Unstoppable” production.
“I don’t see things as happening to me but for me,” she added. “There’s always a lesson to be learned in the moment.”
This is just the latest chapter in Lopez’s relationship journey, following past divorces from Marc Anthony, Cris Judd, and Ojani Noa. Sadly, her latest split came this year when she separated from Affleck after just two years of marriage. They wed on July 16th, 2022, years after their first engagement. Unfortunately, cracks in their union began surfacing, leading to their divorce being finalized in September 2024. In early December, the former couple reunited for a school play that included Lopez’s daughter, Emme, and Affleck’s daughter, Seraphina.
