Just one year after “Grey’s Anatomy” star Jesse Williams settled his longstanding legal battle with ex-wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, over the custody of their children, Lee is demanding Williams pay her legal fees in their forthcoming divorce trial.
Back in June, a judge ordered Williams to pay $50,000 a month in child support and an additional $50,000 a month in spousal support based on his $521,000 monthly salary. In turn, the actor filed a motion for a new trial, in an attempt to get the amount reduced.
But now, as Lee prepares for the new trial, she is asking her ex to cough up thousands of dollars to help her pay lawyers to assist in her legal battle against him.
In new court docs obtained by The Blast, Lee asks for $100,000 in legal fees and an additional $100,000 for the forensic accountant she’s using to fight her case. Although Williams has already coughed up $270,000 for Lee’s legal fees in their divorce, she says she needs more for the trial, where she plans to argue against Williams’ call for a decrease.
According to the publication, Lee also claims Williams owes her $1 million in back support. In the meantime, the trial is scheduled for September.
