Jessie Woo is speaking out again, and this time her message is aimed directly at the wave of backlash she says came after Cardi B publicly responded to her comments about revenge baby allegations.
In a lengthy statement posted to Instagram, Jessie Woo claimed she has been receiving what she described as xenophobic and threatening messages over the past several days. She said many of the comments are coming from Black women online who believe she made statements she insists were never her own.
According to Woo, the backlash escalated after Cardi B addressed her commentary and allegedly framed her remarks in a way that painted her as defending abuse. Woo explained that during a recent live stream, she was reading two superchats back to back and that the statements now being circulated were not her personal opinions. She says her actual point was about the danger of using massive platforms to intimidate women who are currently involved in legal situations involving alleged abuse. Woo claims Cardi B’s response shifted the narrative and placed a target on her back.
The commentator also shared screenshots of comments she says crossed the line, including threats of being doxxed, calls for immigration enforcement to be contacted, and repeated slurs tied to her nationality. Woo said the situation has resulted in harassment from both Black and non Black users and accused Cardi B of weaponizing her fanbase to deflect from the original discussion.

While addressing the criticism, Woo acknowledged that people may not agree with her takes but said twisting her words and encouraging online pile-ons is not acceptable. She emphasized that she has always been a commentator first and that disagreement should never lead to harassment or threats.
The follow-up comes just days after Cardi B addressed the revenge baby conversation directly, sparking intense debate across social media about accountability, fandom culture, and how public figures respond to criticism. As the conversation continues, timelines remain split on whether this is about holding people responsible for their words or how quickly discourse turns personal when celebrities get involved.
