Terricka Cromartie, wife of New York Jets player Antonio Cromartie, is speaking out about coverage of her family by the New York Post.
As we previously reported, the Cromarties have said that Post writer Susan Edelman has written negative stories about them for years, including a piece that revisited an arrest of Terricka’s from more than a decade ago. According to Terricka, the stories tend to appear before game days.
In a series of tweets, Terricka claimed that the reporter showed up outside the family’s home and spoke to one of their young children. She tweeted that she did not appreciate a stranger asking a child for his father’s phone number and told the reporter to leave her family alone.
Terricka also said the family’s home address was printed in the paper, which she called a safety risk for her household. She tweeted that the stories have not broken the family and that she feels they carry no weight.
The Post recently reported that Antonio pays $336,000 in child support for seven children. Terricka disputed that figure on Twitter, saying he pays well under that amount. Neither Antonio’s camp nor the Post had provided further details at the time of this post, and Baller Alert could not verify either number.
The New York Post and Edelman had not publicly responded to Terricka’s claims. We will keep you posted if they do.
