Jimmy Iovine, known for starting Interscope Records, is being sued by a woman who remains unnamed. The lawsuit accuses him of sexual abuse, unwanted touching, sexual harassment, and retaliating against her. The legal documents were filed in New York on November 22. The details of the lawsuit aren’t all public yet, but it mentions several instances of abuse, including a specific incident in New York in 2007.

The woman is asking for various types of financial compensation, including payment for legal fees. This lawsuit against Iovine is part of a recent wave of similar lawsuits in the music industry. This increase is happening because of a deadline in New York law that allows people to sue for old incidents of sexual misconduct that they normally couldn’t because of time limits.

By filing now, the woman’s legal team has more time to prepare the full lawsuit. Jimmy Iovine, a key figure in the music industry who has worked with big names and co-founded Beats Electronics with Dr. Dre, hasn’t responded to these allegations yet.
