Jimmy Kimmel isn’t playing about his name or his family, and he’s setting the record straight after NFL player Aaron Rodgers suggested he could be linked to Jeffrey Epstein.
Rodgers made the comments on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday, claiming Kimmel’s name might turn up when the Epstein list of associates is revealed.
“There’s a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, that are hoping it doesn’t come out,” Rodgers added when referring to the list of names among the hundreds of sealed court documents stemming from a lawsuit related to deceased convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Reportedly, there is a document that has 150 names coming from a civil lawsuit against Ghislaine Maxwell, who was sentenced last year to 20 years in prison on sex trafficking and other charges for helping Epstein sexually abuse teenage girls. A federal judge has ruled that these documents will soon be unsealed.
Rodgers, now quarterback for the New York Jets, said that Kimmel’s name might turn up when the Epstein list of associates was revealed.
“If that list comes out, I’ll definitely be popping some sort of bottle.”
However, his comments triggered Kimmel, who responded on X.
“Dear Aasshole: for the record, I’ve not met, flown with, visited, or had any contact whatsoever with Epstein, nor will you find my name on any “list” other than the clearly-phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can’t seem to distinguish from reality. Your reckless words put my family in danger. Keep it up and we will debate the facts further in court. @AaronRodgers12”
