As the world waits patiently for January 20, 2021, when Joe Biden will be sworn in as the 46th President of the United States, the president-elect is already planning on signing at least five executive orders that could reverse several of his predecessor’s policies.

According to Forbes, Biden plans on immediately addressing the pandemic, improving the economy and providing stimulus relief to families in need and more by signing crucial executive orders.

First up, Biden wants to rejoin the Paris climate accord. Picking up where President Obama left off, Biden has proposed $2 trillion in clean energy and infrastructure spending. He also wants to target net-zero emissions by 2050.

President-elect Biden also wants the U.S. to rejoin the World Health Organization. With Coronavirus at the top of his agenda, Biden has already announced he’s forming a Coronavirus task force to address the Covid-19 pandemic.

Biden plans to repeal the travel ban from many Muslim countries. The ban, which Trump had said was in the best interest of national security, included a travel ban from Muslim countries such as Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria, and Yemen, and barred some immigrants, refugees, and visa holders from entering the U.S.

In another direct reversal of Trump’s immigration policies, Biden also plans to reinstate the DREAMers program, which allows children of undocumented immigrants to remain in the U.S. Biden would work to ensure that DACA—the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals—would continue to allow these immigrants to live and work in the U.S. without the threat of deportation.

Biden also plans to reverse Trump’s military ban on transgender people. As commander in chief, Biden would allow a transgender individual to serve openly in the U.S. military.
