The rap superstar has filed a lawsuit against Universal Music Group (UMG), accusing the label of manipulating streaming numbers to boost certain songs, including Kendrick Lamar’s diss track, Not Like Us.
In a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, Joe Budden had plenty to say about the unfolding legal drama. Known for his no-holds-barred takes, Budden didn’t mince words when addressing Drake’s actions. “He’s a selfish, lying, manipulative sack of s**t,” Budden said. “For 15 years, he’s been stirring the pot behind the scenes, and now the industry’s at a boiling point.”
Drake’s lawsuit alleges that UMG engaged in deceptive practices, including the use of bots and pay-for-play schemes, to artificially inflate the success of certain tracks.
