While Joe Exotic is experiencing the fame that he has always craved, he is looking to explain himself and his actions.

Investigation Discovery is hopping on the Joe Exotic train. According to Vulture, the network has ordered a new true-crime special titled “Investigating the Strange World of Joe Exotic,’ a follow up to the Netflix documentary. The ID special will give a further look into the Exotic’s eccentric life and career in the exotic animal industry.

According to the press release, the new special will reveal more of Exotic’s secrets as well as exclusive footage. The show will also attempt to decide whether or not his rival Carole Baskin of Big Cat Rescue did indeed kill her husband. As far as the other outlandish characters such as Jeff Lowe and Doc Antle, they will also be explored in the special.

“Millions of true crime fans around the world were left wanting more … It’s time to let the ‘cat out of the bag’ and address the lingering questions,” said ID president Henry Schleiff.

To fans delight, Netflix is set to release a new episode of the docuseries next week, according to Page Six.
