“Chrissy [is], “the one,” because we have great chemistry, she makes me laugh all the time, she’s a wonderful mother, she’s my best friend, and she inspires some great love songs.” John Legend confessed of his wife, Chrissy Teigen, in an interview with PEOPLE for the National Day of Racial Healing.
In the interview, Legend spoke on his blended family and his experience in his interracial marriage.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“I don’t think there were a lot of issues around it. A lot of it has been a blessing. I feel like we learn from each other… We have different experiences. We laugh at each other. The food has been better because we are able to merge our tastes and our different upbringings and what we grew up eating,” The 41-year old soul singer added.
John also went on to tell PEOPLE, “They’ll benefit from the fact they have black grandparents, and a Thai grandparent and a white grandparent.”
The couple shares two children: Luna Simone, 3 1/2, and Myles Theodore, 20 months.
