JoJo Siwa just came out and is now opening up about her relationship.
According to Today, the 17-year-old social media star, who came out in January, opened up about coming out publicly to her millions of followers on “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon.
Siwa explained that she was making TikTok videos for an LGBTQ account called Pride House. One of those videos included a song by Paramore called “Ain’t It Fun” that she thought would be a big clue to people about her orientation. Siwa claims her followers also began speculating when she released a Tik Tok of herself dancing to Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way.”
“I was like, ‘I think this is gonna out me,’” Siwa told Fallon. “And I was like, ‘I don’t really mind because it is true.’ I do have the most amazing, wonderful, perfect, most beautiful girlfriend in the whole world. It’s not something I’m ashamed of. I just haven’t shown the internet yet.”
Siwa also shared that her girlfriend was fully supportive of her decision to come out.
“I was on FaceTime with her, and we were talking about it, and we were talking about all of the love that came in, and technically I still hadn’t confirmed it,” JoJo said.
