A stunt on the set of Jonathan Majors’ latest action film ended in a frightening accident last week when both Majors and co-star JC Kilcoyne fell six feet to the ground.

The pair fell after a window on the South Carolina set gave way, an incident that has now become a central point of contention for crew members currently on strike.

The fall took place after the production team replaced a standard window with a sheet of tempered glass, intended to be shattered during a later, separate stunt. Because the glass was not properly secured in the frame, it failed to hold under the weight of the actors, sending both men falling to the concrete below. While representatives for Kilcoyne have stated that he received immediate medical attention and is “doing well,” reports from the set indicate that the actor required stitches for multiple hand injuries.

The lack of communication regarding the accident left many on set unsettled. One anonymous crew member who arrived shortly after the fall to reset the area described the atmosphere as deceptive. “When I got there, nobody mentioned anything about people falling out the window,” they noted. “It seemed weird to me.”

This incident served as the breaking point for a crew that had been raising concerns about production standards for weeks.
