During an interview at the Give Her FlowHERS Gala, Jordyn Woods discussed her three-year relationship with NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns, emphasizing the significance of building a solid bond before dating.
“Friendship and trust,” Woods said. “We were really good friends before we started dating, and COVID gave us that free time in our lives to really get to know each other because a lot of people don’t really get to know each other, and they go into this relationship.”
“So, we’ve been through a lot together,” she added. “We’ve seen each other at all different ways, times, and phases, so I think we have a very strong foundation.”
Woods then highlighted the importance of “quality time” in maintaining their relationship, expressing her intent to attend as many of Towns’ games as possible.
She added that they express love for each other with personal gifts. “We love gift giving, and… what is it? The love language? The love language is quality time. We love everything,” she said.
“I’m excited. Every holiday, we like to really go large for each other,” she explained. “He does so much for me. I do what I can for him. I want to say it’s a lot. So when it’s time to show that appreciation, we like to go all out.”
At the event, Jordyn Woods’ sister, Jodie Woods, also expressed her admiration for Towns and his presence in their lives.
“I love him so much,” Jodie told PEOPLE. “Literally, even before they were together, they were best friends, so he would always be around. That’s my brother. I know if I need anything, he got me. I love him to death.”
The couple was introduced by mutual friends “years ago.” However, their close friendship evolved into a romantic relationship in May 2020, which they made public in September of the same year.
