Songwriter Jozzy sat down with Angela Yee on “Lip Service” to keep it real about what was actually going on between her and Madonna. While some fans remember that viral video of them kissing, Jozzy is finally sharing the full story of what their relationship was really like.

Reflecting on their time together, Jozzy didn’t hold back on the praise.
“That was a good life. That was a great life,” she shared, reminiscing about the unique bond they had. However, being in the spotlight with an icon wasn’t always easy. Jozzy revealed she dealt with a lot of backlash once people found out they were seeing each other. “It got bad because a lot of Black women were hating on me… when she posted that video of us kissing,” she admitted.
When Angela Yee asked if they were an official couple or just friends, Jozzy described it as a special connection. “We were friends, but she showed me love. It was just a great… whatever we had.” As for whether the Queen of Pop was tricking off or buying her expensive gifts, Jozzy laughed it off and said, “It was vibes.”
The most surprising part of the interview was when Jozzy talked about Madonna’s history with women. Even though Madonna has a reputation for being wild, Jozzy suggests her private life is actually much more low-key.
“You would think that she’s very… she hasn’t been with a lot of women,” Jozzy explained. When Angela Yee asked if Jozzy was really only the second woman Madonna has ever dated, Jozzy replied, “I think… yeah.”
It looks like Jozzy got to experience a side of Madonna that most people never see. Whether they were serious or just enjoying the moment, Jozzy clearly looks back at that time as a “great life.”
