A musician is suing the estate of Juice Wrld, claiming the late rapper stole his beat and tried to pass it off as his own.
According to TMZ, the lawsuit from a man who professionally goes by Ghost Loft filed a lawsuit claiming he made a song called “So High” way back in 2013 and that Juice WRLD jacked 16 bars from his song to make “Scared of Love” that was featured on his 2018 album “Goodbye & Good Riddance.”
Ghost Loft claims that Juice Wrld and Mitch Mula are the only ones credited as writers on the song, even though Mula allegedly later admitted to sampling his beat and supposedly revealed the ‘Scared’ wouldn’t exist without him.
Ghost Loft is suing Juice WRLD’s mother, Carmella Wallace, who is the executor of his estate, as well as Mula, Universal Music Group, and Interscope.
GL wants money for damages, a writing credit for the song, and an injunction that would further prohibit Juice’s estate from profiting off the song.
