“The Talk” co-host Julie Chen will be temporarily saying farewell to the daytime talk show.

On Tuesday (Sept. 18), Chen made her official exit from the show in a short video recorded goodbye. “I love you all and I know this show and the sisterhood it stands for will live on for many, many, many more years to come,” Chen tearfully said, referring to her co-hosts and crew a “family.”

Chen, who is the wife of former CBS Chief Executive Leslie Moonves, may be making this move amid the sexual allegations made against her husband. Earlier this month, Moonves stepped down from his position after several women accused him of sexual misconduct while working with him. While Moonves denies said allegations, CBS has two law firms working to investigate the claims. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

However, in a statement, Chen wrote she is using the time off to be with family. “I am taking a few days off from ‘The Talk’ to be with my family. I will be back soon and will see you on Thursday night on ‘Big Brother.'” Chen will continue on with “Big Brother,” which will its season next week.

The 48-year-old has supported her husband during the scandal, previously tweeting “I have known my husband, #LeslieMoonves, since the late ‘90s, and I have been married to him for almost 14 years. Leslie is a good man and a loving father, devoted husband and inspiring corporate leader. He has always been a kind, decent and moral human being. I fully support my husband and stand behind his statement.”

But her fellow co-host, Sharon Osbourne, who originally supported Moonves by defending him on air, has changed her words on the show. “The man has a problem,” Osbourne said. Chen didn’t appear for the season 10 premiere, and there is no information on when she will return.
