‘Superfly’ actor Kaalan “KR” Walker is accused of luring rape victims using his verified social media accounts.
Prosecutors told the L.A. courts that Walker is a “digital age” rapist. They claim that Walker uses his social media accounts to “hunt” for aspiring artists and models. The allegations state that the actor uses his “blue checkmark” to trap his victims.
Walker’s attorney says the women are out to seek “revenge” on the actor because they fell for his false promises.
“The [alleged victims] are going to lie to you because they know that they fell for his B.S.,” the attorney argues. “The pattern of Mr. Walker is to make false promises, and they bought it. Each one of these women voluntarily made their own decisions. He didn’t force them. It’s pay-back to Mr. Walker, and we’re not going to let that happen.”
Walker‘s sexual assault allegations date back to 2013, with accusations coming from more than 30 women and teens. The most recent accusation came following his 2018 arrest for forcible rape, unlawful intercourse with a minor, and other felonies related to 11 alleged victims in Los Angeles County.
District Attorney Yasmin Fardghassemi says numerous women were coming forward about Walker. She states that none of the women knew of each other, but the “single thing that unites all of these women is the defendant Kaalan Walker.”
Fardghassemi detailed the 2014 rape incident involving a 19-year-old girl in a club parking lot after Walker promised to introduce her to someone famous.
“She’s drunk. She doesn’t know what’s going on. He penetrates her from behind without her consent. He rapes her as she’s in and out. What you’re going to learn about is that she didn’t know who her attacker was because she was drunk. This crime is entirely solved by DNA evidence.”
