Kamala Harris Hints at 2028 Presidential Run After 2024 Loss: "I Am Not Done"

Kamala Harris

Kamala Harris may have lost big in 2024, but she isn’t ruling out another bid for the presidency.

In a BBC interview promoting her memoir “107 Days,” the former vice president said, “I am not done. I have lived my entire career as a life of service, and it’s in my bones.” When asked if she could be the first female president, Harris replied, “Possibly.”

Despite losing to Donald Trump by over 2 million votes and a wide electoral margin, Harris leads several potential Democratic contenders in early polling. But Polymarket gives her just a 2 percent chance of being the nominee in 2028.

In her book, Harris called President Biden’s decision to seek reelection at 81 “recklessness,” suggesting it was more about ego than strategy.

She has not confirmed a 2028 run but remains vocal about her political ambitions.

“If I listened to polls I would have not run for my first office, or my second office,” she said.

Republicans aren’t buying it. A White House spokeswoman dismissed Harris’ remarks, saying Americans have “taken the hint” after her landslide loss.
