Two adults have been charged for their alleged connection to the Kansas City mass shooting. Authorities say the two are now facing murder charges and other serious counts.

Lyndell Mays and Dominic Miller were both charged with second-degree murder on Tuesday, and both are also up against armed criminal action and unlawful use of weapon charges.

The two adults are different from the teens charged last week.

There are now four people police have linked to the tragedy that struck during the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade.

Prosecutors say they’re not releasing mug shots yet because these two men are still recovering in the hospital.

It’s unclear how old the two adult men are and how police connected them to the crime. However, officials did note the incident started with an argument, and the parties did not know each other.

The argument then led to gunfire.

Prosecutors say evidence suggests the dispute led to a firearm being drawn by Mays, which then led to others pulling their firearms, including one by Miller. After the shots rang out, prosecutors say Miller’s weapon ended up being the one that hit Lisa Lopez-Galvan, but they have pinned her murder on both men.

Kansas City officials say the investigation is still ongoing, and they are working to hold everyone accountable.
