Ye Says He Is Officially Done With Hateful Antisemitic Speech: "God Forgive Me"

Dov Charney, the founder of American Apparel, has reportedly been appointed as the CEO of Kanye West‘s Yeezy brand, as per The U.S. Sun.

The move comes as an effort to revive the brand’s reputation after Kanye West’s anti-Semitic comments led to the loss of several partnerships.

However, Charney has faced his own share of controversies, resulting in his departure from American Apparel in 2014 due to allegations of harassment, discrimination, and assault. He was also accused of mismanaging funds, among other allegations, though he maintained his innocence.

“All those accusations against me are crap,’ Charney said in an ABC Interview. “There’s allegations… we’ve resolved them. None of it — none of these allegations – were ever proven.”

Nevertheless, sources say West wants Charney on his team.

“Ye has hired Dov Charney as the new CEO of Yeezy LLC,” the source reportedly told the U.S. Sun, though it remains unclear if Charney has officially signed on.

“It is definitely a risky move with the allegations against him, but Ye supports him and knows what it’s like to be canceled,” the source said. “Dov has been a friend, a fabric supplier; he’s also produced T-shirts as well as mass production of the new Yeezy line, which was unveiled recently at a low-key event. He’s been by Ye’s side for years – before he was canceled, throughout the drama, and now after as he sets to stage a comeback.”

Additionally, West has already started the construction of the new Yeezy headquarters in Los Angeles.

“Ye has been hosting parties for three weeks in a row at the venue and giving away sample pieces for his latest collection,” said a source. “There’s no date set for the release yet, but it’ll be soon. He’s been working hard to get everything ready for his comeback.”
