Kanye West will be teaming up with mega pastor, Joel Osteen, once again, but this time they’re taking their message to Yankee Stadium.

Last month, the two held a 20-minute discussion in front of Osteen’s Lakewood Church’s congregation. West spoke candidly about his recent conversion to Christianity and how God has been inspiring him lately. He also performed his platinum hit “Jesus Walks,” as well as tracks from his religiously inspired ninth studio album, “Jesus Is King.”

But now, the now-Christian rapper plans to join Osteen for his “Night of Hope” event, held on Saturday, May 2nd at Yankee Stadium in New York City. This will be one of multiple stops that Osteen and his wife, Victoria, will make across the country during their tour run next year. They decided to add West and his choir to the program following his appearance at Osteen’s church.

West has been vocal about his religious transformation for the better part of 2019, stating that, “I know that God has been calling me for a long time, and the devil has been distracting me for a long time.” He announced in September that he will no longer make what he deems to be “secular music” going forward.

After the release of his Christian rap album, “Jesus Is King,” in October, West has been traveling the country with his “Sunday Service” show, making a surprise stop at Howard University during their homecoming festivities. His newfound vow to religion has drawn both heavy scrutiny and support from his cult-like fan base, with some viewing his new religion conversion as simply a ploy to sell records, while others have supported him and his journey to happiness.

Despite the criticism, one can’t deny that Kanye does appear much happier these days than he has in years.
