Milo Yiannopoulos, the former chief of staff for the artist formerly known as Kanye West, has publicly accused celebrity dentist Thomas Connelly of exploiting the rap star and getting him addicted to nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, to manipulate the rapper for financial gain.
Wednesday, taking to X (formerly Twitter), Yiannopoulos shared that during his tenure with Ye from 2022 to early 2024, he witnessed troubling behavior from Connelly. Yiannopoulos, known for his controversial views, alleged that Connelly’s influence over Ye led to serious issues. He posted a sworn affidavit outlining his claims.
Yiannopoulos wrote, “There is a reason Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is no longer capable of successfully releasing music or clothing. The most serious and recent is his dentist, Thomas Connelly. Connelly got Ye hooked on nitrous—laughing gas. It is my belief that Connelly sought to diminish Ye’s mental faculties so that Connelly and his business associates could extract millions of dollars from him.”
He continued, “I uncovered the fraud and intervened earlier this year, resulting in Ye dissolving our working relationship. Ye proposed a fake reason for my resignation, and we settled on the announcement of his plans to launch an adult entertainment division at Yeezy.”
Yiannopoulos didn’t hold back, accusing Connelly of targeting African-American celebrities and claiming that he filed a complaint with the California Dental Board. He also shared an audio version of his affidavit with “exhibits” as evidence.
“It was my job to protect Ye from bad guys, and I was paid well for doing it. I don’t deserve any awards, especially since I should have seen the dentist coming. There’s no doubt in my mind that had I not intervened, Ye would have been Michael Jacksoned in May of this year. My friendship with Ye is probably over forever now, but my conscience is clearer.”
Ye has not yet responded to these explosive claims. However, Thomas Connelly has denied the accusations in a statement to TMZ, calling them “not only factually incorrect but also intentionally misleading.”
He insists he abides by all ethical and legal standards.
