Trent, the nephew by marriage of Katherine Jackson, is speaking out after a judge issued a temporary restraining order against him last week.
In her court filing, Jackson alleged that Trent, who worked as her driver and lived in her guest house, emotionally abused her for years and used her credit cards for personal purchases. She said she is staying in London with her daughter Janet Jackson because she is afraid to go home. Trent was ordered to move out of the property.
Trent told Nancy Grace on her podcast that he has never taken advantage of Katherine financially and that he has not heard from her since she left for London. He suggested that someone else is behind the accusations, saying, “It seems to me that someone is over there putting all these things together, going after me so they can control my aunt.”
He also said he was never served with the restraining order and remains at the house. According to Trent, his job for many years was to pay her bills and look after her household, and he believes her bank statements will show who is influencing her finances. He did not name anyone specific in the interview.
None of the claims from either side have been decided by a court. ET Online has more on the interview.
