“Real Housewives of Potomac” alum Katie Rost, who has been vocal about her alcohol and Adderall dependences, revealed that she relapsed recently.
The 42-year-old broke the news to her supporters on February 8th in a transparent tweet about starting over from “day 1.”
“I relapsed. I had decided to abstain from drugs, white claw and Adderall, and sex, tonight I failed in one of those,” Rost wrote before adding that she went to a meeting immediately after. She is presumably speaking about an Alcoholics Anonymous session, which she has strongly advocated for.

Rost made headlines back in October 2022 when she checked herself into rehab for 30 days to “kick alcohol and Adderall in a medical setting.” The Housewife said she’d been on prescription meds since age 12 to treat ADHD, and they were beginning to affect her physically. She’d suffered five seizures around that time, as shared in a series of social media posts.
Following her relapse announcement, Rost thanked fans for their outpouring of support. She received over 5,000 messages with words of encouragement, all of which she was determined to read.

The former reality star appeared on season one of “Real Housewives of Potomac,” where she detailed her struggles with her children and now ex-husband, Dr. James Orsini. She was ultimately let go from the franchise after season one. Despite asking for her job back, Rost did not return to Bravo.
In her series of tweets, Rost also thanked former Potomac Housewife Robyn Dixon, who was there for her during the tumultuous time.

Addiction is an everyday journey, but it appears Rost is back on the right track. Hopefully, she will continue to receive the help she needs.
