Wellness influencer Kayla Nicole has issued a public apology after past social‑media posts resurfaced, prompting significant backlash. The posts, reportedly shared between 2010 and 2014 on Twitter (X), included homophobic slurs and derogatory remarks about various ethnic groups.
In her apology, which was shared via Instagram Stories, Nicole wrote that seeing the posts again “has been incredibly difficult” and that she is “ashamed that I ever thought or spoke that way.” She described the posts as “ignorant, hurtful and completely wrong.” She further stated that the woman she is today “would never use those words or express those kinds of views.”
Nicole acknowledged that she has deleted the offending tweets and closed her Twitter account entirely, saying that she refuses “to keep that energy alive or contribute to a cycle of hate.” She emphasized that while she cannot change the past, she is committed to showing through her actions “who I’ve become and what I stand for today.”
The apology comes amid renewed public interest in Nicole, partly because of her previous relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce, who she dated on and off until 2022 and his current relationship with Taylor Swift.
