Kevin Costner had his day in court regarding child support and is probably pretty happy with the outcome.
A judge ruled Friday that the Yellowstone actor will pay estranged wife Christine Baumgartner $63,209. That’s a far cry from the $248,000 she requested and the temporary support order of $129,000.
Costner took the stand during the two-day court hearing, testifying that having children and divorce were his biggest concerns going into the relationship. He told the court that he was concerned that he would be ordered to pay more than what is considered sufficient to care for his children.
“My biggest concern is that the court orders me to pay child support that is above the needs of my children and for the needs of Christine,” he told the court.
In July, Baumgartner moved out of the family’s Santa Barbara home, a stipulation of the prenup. It was confirmed in court on Thursday that she is renting a nearby house for $40,000 a month, according to People.
Baumgartner filed for divorce from Costner after 18 years of marriage. The former couple share three children: 16-year-old Cayden, 14-year-old Hayes, and 13-year-old Grace.
