A search for a missing woman in Houston has turned into a murder investigation as police look for 24-year-old Kevin Faux, who remains at large.
Authorities have charged Faux with capital murder in the death of 23-year-old Ashanti Allen, who was eight months pregnant when she disappeared on April 10. Her body was discovered days later near Chimney Rock in southwest Houston, following an intensive search involving police and Texas EquuSearch.
The tragedy is compounded by Faux’s prior history with the victim. Court records show he had previously pleaded guilty to assaulting Allen just months before her death.
While the medical examiner has not yet confirmed the exact cause of death, Allen’s family is now grieving the loss of both her and her unborn son, Jackson.
The investigation remains ongoing, and anyone with information on Faux’s whereabouts is urged to contact authorities immediately.
