Kevin Hart and the passengers that rode with him in his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda are said to be lawyering up.
According to the TMZ, Hart is
taking heat from those injured parties in the Sept. 1 crash, including the driver and another passenger, who say Hart showed significant negligence for not having critical safety features installed like airbags and safety harnesses.
The missing safeguards in question were standard in more modern vehicles but were not common back in the 1970s, so Hart reportedly passed on them adding an extra bit of authenticity to the car.
The auto body shop who designed Hart’s car may also be on the hook for allowing the custom job to go through as well, reported TMZ, which said a negligence claim could be rooted in the body shop’s decision to go ahead with the job despite the car lacking modern safeguards in the powerful, 720 horsepower engine vehicle.
