There are many highs and lows in relationships, and #KevinHart revealed how his wife forgave him when he hit a low blow in their marriage.
Almost a year has passed since Hart’s cheating scandal, but Hart says he’s now a better man. “I am amazing,” he says, before adding, “I am amazing because I get it now.”
After the story broke, Hart publicly apologized to his then-pregnant wife #EnikoHart for his “bad error in judgment.” A former friend of Hart’s leaked a video of the 39-year-old comedian having an affair. But two months after the incident, all seemed well, and the couple welcomed their son, Kenzo.
In an interview with People, the Philly native discussed marriage and being a father while promoting his new comedy “Night School.” “The friendship that I have with my wife is insane. Yes, that’s my wife, we’re lovers, it’s a relationship, it’s marriage…but the friendship we have is like no other,” said Hart.
He continued, “Our marriage has been put to the test. It’s the most difficult test ever. And, you know, sometimes those tests come from stupidity. But it’s how you handle it, and how you decide to move forward from it.”
Hart says he is happy Eniko chose to forgive him. “I applaud my wife for just displaying a high level of strength that I can’t even explain,” says Hart. “I applaud her for being my backbone, my support system, and more importantly, taking my life to the next level.”
Hart says the two are now stronger than ever. “The tests we’ve passed made us love each other even more,” says Hart. “It made us understand our bond even more.”
