Kevin Hart can’t seem to catch a break these days. From his serious car accident to the backlash from the LGBTQ community for being insensitive, now he’s being slapped with a $60 million lawsuit.
Montia Sabbag, the woman in Hart’s 2017 sex tape, is suing the comedian for $60 million. She claims that Hart and his former friend JT Jackson planned to secretly record the encounter in Hart’s Las Vegas hotel room.
In docs obtained by TMZ, Sabbag is accusing Hart of recording the sex tape as a publicity stunt ahead of his comedy tour. The suit claims the comedian sent Jackson into the Cosmopolitan Hotel suite so that he could set up the hidden camera before they arrived.
However, Kevin has repeatedly denied these allegations, saying that he knew nothing about the hidden camera and that he too was a victim of his friend’s attempt to secretly record his sexual encounter and extort him for money. As you may recall, Jackson was arrested for extortion. In fact, according to police, Jackson produced a video teaser about the sex tape and requested an undisclosed amount of money from Hart. But, despite his arrest, Jackson denied ever extorting the comedian.
Sabbag is suing for intentional infliction of emotional distress and invasion of privacy.
So far, Hart has yet to comment on this lawsuit.
