Kevin McCall has been compelled to bear the financial burden for an alleged assault that occurred on a highway in 2019.
According to court records, the rapper and producer has been ordered to pay $1.5 million as a settlement. The incident in question involves an alleged assault by McCall against his ex-partner, identified as KM, while she was driving her vehicle. The assault reportedly occurred after she had evicted him from her residence where he had been residing.
“K.M. said McCall was still at her home and refused to leave. She offered to drive him to his grandma’s home,” the report says. “During the drive, she claimed he took out a joint to smoke. The accuser said she objected and tried to take the joint away.”
It continued, “She said McCall then punched her in the right side of her head, ‘causing her head to slam against the driver’s side window.’ The accuser said she was able to pull the car off the freeway and come to a stop. She then claimed that as she wiped blood off her face, McCall took her phone and called his daughter to tell her not to believe anything she ‘might hear about him and that it was not true.’”
Nevertheless, a judgment was rendered against McCall on Friday when he ceased to respond to the lawsuit, leading to an automatic award in favor of the victim due to his default.
