Keyshia Cole is walking back a comment she made on The Breakfast Club that accidentally stirred up false rumors about Ashanti and Nelly.
While appearing on the show, Keyshia was giving Ashanti her props when she mistakenly said, “She got a baby, she’s pregnant again.”
The moment caught everyone off guard. Loren LoRosa immediately questioned the claim, asking if that was really true or just internet gossip. Jess Hilarious and Charlamagne, however, backed Keyshia and didn’t think twice about it. But as it turns out, Keyshia was wrong.
Ashanti is not currently pregnant with another child. Keyshia appeared genuinely surprised when corrected live on-air, and many online viewers took it as an honest mistake.
Now, she’s issuing a public apology under a post about the interview: “My apologies… I shouldn’t have said that. I thought she announced it. If that isn’t true, then I apologize.”
Even though the baby rumor was false, one thing is still true, Ashanti has said she wants more children someday.
But for now, the couple hasn’t shared any official news about another baby on the way.
