Kim Kardashian is standing firm in defense of her daughter North West’s bold fashion choices.
The 12-year-old recently shared TikTok videos showing off fake face tattoos, blue braided hair, grillz, colored contacts, and a faux septum ring, paired with baggy clothing and chunky sneakers. “Fake piercings and fake tatts 4 life,” North captioned one video.
The Skims founder acknowledged that North’s style sometimes draws criticism. In August, she faced backlash after her daughter wore a corset, miniskirt, and platform boots during a family vacation in Rome.

Speaking on the “Call Me Daddy” podcast, Kim emphasized that while she guides her children, she also supports their creativity.
“She does listen to me, but in other areas, I’m like, ‘Babe, if you want blue hair, it is what it is. You know, it makes her so happy. I would never take that creativity away from her,’” she said.
Kim also reflected on raising four kids largely on her own. “I just think anyone that’s raising kids, especially four kids by myself, I’m doing the best that I can,” she added.
By defending North’s choices, Kim shows that she values her daughter’s individuality and encourages her to explore her personal style, even in the face of public scrutiny.
