Divorce is reportedly on the brink for one of entertainment’s most-followed couples.
A source has recently confirmed to PEOPLE that rapper Kanye West, 43, and media personality star Kim Kardashian-West, 40, have allegedly ended their communication, just ahead of an official split.
“Kim and Kanye continue to live separate lives,” says the source. “They have no contact.”
After six years of marriage, the couple encountered a rocky road in their relationship, publicly, following several Twitter outbursts from the “Touch Made the Sky” artist regarding his family, marriage, and political views.
In January, several sources informed the outlet that the 40-year-old socialite had planned on ending her marriage with West and was working out the details will well-known divorce attorney Laura Wasser.
“They are just not on the same page when it comes to their future as a family,” one insider told PEOPLE. “And Kim is okay with it.”
Reports revealed that after West stopped marriage counseling with Kardashian last month, Kardashian has become more content with the idea of raising their four children, North West, 7, Chicago West, 3, Saint West, and Psalm West, 2, on her own, the source said.
“Kim stays focused on the kids and work. She is very busy and seems happy,” says the source.
As far as the marriage is concerned, Kim “has a divorce plan in place and will file when she is ready. Her issues with Kanye are a big part of the final season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, premiering next month on
March 18.”
According to the source, it is likely that Kardashian will “file for divorce when the season has aired.”
“Kim has become more independent and has lost patience with his antics, rants, the presidential campaign, and tweets,” a TV industry source said.
