Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian quietly asked a judge to demand that Ray J fork over $7 million for failing to keep his end of the bargain in their sex tape settlement.
According to court filings, Jenner and Kardashian claim Ray J violated the terms of a confidential 2023 agreement connected to the parties’ long-running dispute over the infamous tape. The settlement reportedly included a non-disclosure clause that barred everyone involved from publicly discussing the matter or making false statements tied to it.
The reported $7 million demand stems from money already paid under the deal, along with added damages sought by the mother-daughter duo. Records state Jenner and Kardashian had agreed to pay Ray J a total of $6 million through scheduled installments. The payment structure allegedly included $3 million upfront, followed by three separate $1 million payments due in 2024, 2025, and 2026.
By the time tensions escalated, filings claim Ray J had already received $5 million. Jenner and Kardashian then sought repayment of that full amount, while also requesting an additional $1 million for Kardashian and $1 million for Jenner over what they describe as repeated breaches of the agreement.
“My clients take this matter very seriously and unless your client complies with the foregoing, the Kardashians will file legal action to enforce their rights,” one letter from their legal team stated.
A later filing reportedly accused Ray J of violating the agreement again after speaking about the matter during a livestream. Because of that alleged breach, Jenner and Kardashian argued they should no longer be required to send the final $1 million installment that had been due in 2026.
The financial dispute is part of a larger legal battle between the former parties. Jenner and Kardashian previously sued Ray J for defamation over statements alleging they were linked to a federal criminal racketeering investigation.
Ray J has denied those accusations and filed countersuits of his own. He maintains his remarks were not defamatory and argues Jenner and Kardashian also violated the confidential agreement by discussing the controversy on their Hulu reality show.
