Caitlyn Jenner is back in headlines after revealing she personally contacted Donald Trump over a passport issue she says has left her unable to travel internationally.

During an interview with conservative host Tomi Lahren, Jenner said she recently renewed her passport and was surprised when it was returned with the gender marker changed from female to male. Jenner, who publicly came out as transgender in 2015, said she had previously updated all of her identification documents to reflect female, including her birth certificate.
“Recently, I had my passport, I had to get it renewed. I sent it back, comes back gender marker ‘M,’” Jenner said. “So now, I’m in a position, Tomi, that… What do I do? This is a safety factor. I can’t travel internationally anymore. I can’t use my passport.”
She said she first tried to challenge the change through official channels, but her request was denied. Jenner then decided to write Trump directly while visiting Mar-a-Lago.
“I was in Mar-a-Lago two months ago, wrote a letter, explaining all of this to him, how it’s affecting me and a lot of other people,” she said. “I haven’t heard from him. He’s kind of busy right now.”
Even while discussing the setback, Jenner made it clear she still supports the former president.
“My gender marker is not big on the issue, OK. So I get that, and I’m not blaming him whatsoever. I love the guy, and I love what he’s doing.”
Still, Jenner questioned whether the broader policy had been fully considered.
“It’s not gonna work,” she said. “And I don’t know what the solution is yet.”
Jenner also reflected on her own role in raising visibility around transgender issues after her public transition, saying she intended to help a marginalized community but believes politics later reshaped the conversation.
The remarks quickly sparked debate online, especially because Jenner has remained a vocal Trump supporter while now dealing with a policy she says directly impacts her life.
