Late last year Kim Kardashian asked a judge to declare her legally single. And now, she’s even more adamant about it because of the “emotional distress” Kanye West is causing her.
According to court documents, Kim expresses her “desire to be divorced.” One reason why she’s trying to speed up the process is because Ye just won’t keep their divorce proceedings private, TMZ reports.
“Kanye has been putting a lot of misinformation regarding our private matters. And co-parenting on social media which has created emotional distress,” Kim says in court docs.
A while back Kanye posted a video ranting about not attending his daughter’s birthday party. He also made several Instagram posts, attacking Kim’s motherhood and accused her of kidnapping.
Nonetheless, Kim seems okay with ending their seven-year marriage even if Kanye disagrees.
“While I wish our marriage would have succeeded. I have come to the realization that there is no way to repair our marriage,” Kim states. “Kanye does not agree, but at least it appears that he has come to the realization that I want to end our marriage, even if he does not.”
Kim also says she needs to be single so she can focus on her healing journey, and their family can begin the new chapter of their lives.
