King Harris was arrested early Sunday morning in Gwinnett County, Georgia. The incident, which began as a routine traffic stop for speeding, quickly turned into a more serious legal matter involving felony drug charges and an encounter with law enforcement that was captured in a series of social media posts.
According to Gwinnett County police records, officers pulled Harris over around 1:00 AM after he was clocked traveling 60 mph in a 45 mph zone. During the stop, authorities reportedly spotted a firearm inside the vehicle. When officers ordered Harris to step out of the car, they claim he initially refused to comply, resulting in a misdemeanor charge for obstruction. In addition to the speeding violation, he was also cited for failing to wear a seatbelt.
The situation became significantly more complicated during a search of the vehicle. Officers allegedly discovered a THC vape pen containing 10 milligrams of a controlled substance. This led to Harris being booked on a felony charge for possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.
The arrest gained instant attention online due to Harris’ choice of clothing. At the time of the stop, he was wearing a full-body Pikachu onesie, an outfit he later showcased on his Instagram account.
After being released from jail, Harris shared a selfie from the incident, acknowledging his time in custody with a caption stating that the police “caught da Pikachu wit a master ball.”

Following his release, Harris posted additional content on social media, including a photo where he was no longer in the costume and a message directed at the police that read, “F* dat police.

Harris was officially booked into the Gwinnett County Jail on the following charges: Felony possession of a controlled substance, Misdemeanor obstruction of law enforcement officers, and Traffic citations for speeding and seatbelt violation.
