Knicks forward Derrick Williams has reported that jewelry valued at around $750,000 was taken from his TriBeCa apartment early Saturday, December 19, 2015, according to the New York Post.
The Post reports that Williams met two women at a club in the Meatpacking District and that they went back to his place afterward. After the women left, he reportedly discovered that a Louis Vuitton jewelry case holding his belongings was gone. Items said to be inside included a gold chain, a pendant and a Panerai Radiomir watch valued at $6,800.
The two women have not been identified, and no arrests had been reported at the time of the Post’s story. Police are said to be looking into whether the incident is connected to a pattern of thefts targeting people at clubs and hotel bars.
The report does not include a response from Williams. We will keep an eye on this one.
