With Vanessa Bryant filing for divorce, the gossip world is trying to figure out who might be behind the split, and one name keeps coming up.
Several gossip outlets are reporting that Kobe has been close with Carla, a close friend of Kim Kardashian and a producer on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. According to those reports, the two met through her previous job handling celebrity relations for a restaurant group, and the friendship became more than that. Carla has been photographed at Lakers games, including alongside the Kardashians, and was seen at the recent Watch the Throne concert in Los Angeles that Kobe also attended.
None of this has been confirmed. Neither Kobe nor Carla has commented, and being photographed at the same events doesn’t prove a relationship. TMZ has also reported that Vanessa learned about Kobe’s alleged cheating from other players’ wives, without naming any woman involved.
What is confirmed is that Vanessa filed for divorce on December 16 after more than 10 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences. Reports say the couple had no prenup.
If these reports are true, it’s another reminder of how messy things get when the Kardashian circle gets involved. For now, it’s still just talk.
